Liquid Freezer II Second Revision – What’s Changed?

Liquid Freezer Rev. 2

Because we are constantly improving our products–for example to increase their efficiency– it occasionally happens that they are available in different revisions. This is the case with the new Liquid Freezer II. To avoid confusion about the changes, we have summarized them for you here:

  1. At launch, the P-fans of the Liquid Freezer II had a 0 dB mode. They stopped when the PWM signal was below 10%. Due to increased RMA rates from customers who thought their fans were defective, the 0 dB mode was canceled for all fans and coolers and the minimum speed increased to 200 revolutions per minute.
  2. Since the new revision, additional screws have been added to the water cooler to simplify installation in pull configuration. You can find animated instructions for this at support.arctic.ac.
  3. Similar to the motor hubs of our fans, a print of the technical specifications of the cooler is now printed on the underside of the pump unit. This allows you to calculate its maximum power consumption and check compatibility with the fan headers of your Mainboard.
  4. The integrated cable management of the Liquid Freezer II has been further improved, so that the cables are installed on the back of the radiator and disappear from your field of vision.
  5. The connection of the VRM fan no longer sits directly on the PCB, but hangs on a short cable. This minimizes the risk of damaging the connection when deactivated.
  6. The last revision of the Liquid Freezer II gave an incorrect value of the pump as RPM value. Now the value of the radiator fans is output instead. So be sure to deactivate the CPU fan error warning in the BIOS if you want to operate them separately.

Our award-winning Liquid Freezer II is currently in its second revision. You can recognize it from the outside by the small Rev.2 next to the barcode on the packaging. Its performance and main characteristics remained unchanged, so it’s still the same great product.
